What is the Econometric Game?
The Econometric Game, often called the World Championship of Econometrics, is an annual event that brings together the brightest minds in econometrics from around the globe. Organized by the study association VSAE since 1999, the competition attracts 30 teams from prestigious universities such as Harvard, Oxford, National University Singapore etc.
For three days, these teams (comprising Master’s and PhD students) converge in Amsterdam to solve challenging, socially relevant cases. The event is not only a competition but a global platform for innovation, collaboration, and making quantitative impact through data science. It promotes excellence in econometrics and fosters international cooperation among young talents.
